How to fix Samsung TV automatic volume increase β Easy Fix Guide
UA55J6200AR. In this article, we will fix this error. The user said that it is not limited to the volume only, but due to this error, the menu functions are also working automatically. It took the customer two days to diagnose this error. It was confirmed that this error is due to the keyboard circuit not working properly, due to which the menu starts working automatically. This is a fault in the keyboard section. There are two connections coming out of the system IC that go to the keyboard. They are called Key One and Key Two. In this case, the error was here, which we will repair step by step.

Samsung TV Keyboard Fault Check
First, I started with the Samsung LED keyboard. Its keyboard connections were three: one common and two key lines. I measured the voltage at the keyboard test point, and it was fluctuating. Along with this fluctuation, the red light of the set was also blinking. Because of this problem, the remote control of the set was not working either. At this stage, the keyboard track should be checked. It goes from the keyboard connection to the system IC. When I traced these keyboard keys to the system IC, I found two 22-ohm resistors near the IC that had gone bad; their values had increased. Another point is the two resistors of 2.2k, which should be connected to 1.5V on Key 1 and Key 2.
22 Ohm Resistor Fault Diagnosis
The two tracks of the keyboard, Key One and Key Two, have two array resistors of 22 ohms each, and to make them high, two point-to-point resistors of 1.5 volts are used. These resistors were faulty, so I carefully removed them. Since I did not have an array resistor of the same value, I replaced them with single resistors one by one. This successfully fixed the fault. This is a common issue that can occur in any Samsung board. Usually, the resistors between the keyboard and the system are faulty, while it is very rare for the system IC to be the problem. In my case, the 22-ohm resistor turned out to be faulty, and after replacing it, the fault was completely resolved.

- The Samsung TV keyboard has 22-ohm array resistors connected to Key One and Key Two.
- To keep these keys high, 1.5V point-to-point resistors are used.
- In this case, the resistors were faulty, so I carefully removed them.
- Since an array resistor of the same value was not available, I replaced them with single resistors one by one.
- This issue is common and usually occurs in the resistors between the keyboard and the system IC.
- It is very rare for the system IC to be faulty.
- In my case, the 22-ohm resistor was faulty, and replacing it completely fixed the problem.
Samsung TV Automatic Volume Increase Fix
The automatic volume increase issue in the Samsung TV was caused by a fault in the keyboard section. The 22-ohm resistor connected to the important keys in the keyboard area was faulty. After replacing it, the problem was resolved. I advise my fellow technicians to work with utmost skill and precision. Always repair exactly where the fault lies, as this makes the job easier and more effective. If you perform chip-level repairing on the board, the overall cost is reduced, the customer benefits, and you also earn good profit while keeping the device original. This is a common fault that can occur in many Samsung boards, but the key is to trace the keyboard connections to the system IC. Thatβs how you can properly fix the Samsung TV automatic volume increase problem.
Q: 1. Why does my Samsung TV volume go up by itself?
A: 1 It is expected that this fault may be a communication problem between the system and the keyboard.
A: 2 This fault could also be caused by a switch short circuit in the keyboard.
Q: 2. Is automatic volume increase a software issue or hardware problem?
A: No, I think this is a hardware fault; there are very few chances of it being software related.
