The workshop received a television for repair where the picture was absent, but sound and other functions were normal. Investigation revealed a malfunctioning backlight balancer that failed to produce high voltage for the fluorescent lamp. By grounding pin 16 of the IC oz9925gn to disable the green LED protection, the balancer and backlight activated, restoring the picture. Such issues commonly arise in older models due to reduced part tolerances or diminished fluorescent rod value. Although the proper fix is labor-intensive and often not cost-effective for customers, this quick method is typically employed.
