I repaired an LG LED TV model 42lb550a with a faulty panel and no display, discovering a spark on the COF. After cutting off six gate drivers and disconnecting them from the scaler strip, I made modifications on the T-CON, which allowed the power supply to activate and display an image. However, the brightness and colours were initially mismatched. By increasing the VGH voltage, brightness normalised, but colour differences persisted. I then grounded all gate drivers from the scaler strip, ultimately fixing the fault completely by grounding each driver individually at three points.
