How to repair an EchoStar screen is completely black.
An Ecostar LED TV came to my workshop for repair. It had sound but no picture.The customer said that this set sometimes shows images, but usually its screen remains blank. I asked for a time for work and booked the set for working.
Fault observation
I opened the back cover of this set and observed the fault, and I realized that the fault was in the screen part. It had an LG panel installed in it, which had a separate T-con.
Fault finding
As a precaution, I tested the LVDS signals coming from the main board. They were reaching the T-con. Now I checked the VCC supply of the T-con board and it was also fine. Step by step, I tested its DC to DC supply.Vcc,Vdd,Avdd,Hvdd,Vgh,Vgl,and V-com voltage This was all correct.
T-con PCB corrosion
When I had done all the voltage tests, I carefully examined the PCB of the T-con and found that it had rust-type corrosion on its IC pins. I also decided that it had to be repaired.So sir, I washed it with mercury lotion, I dipped it in mercury lotion for a long time, after that I washed it with thinner and dried it with a hot gun, so my card was in a completely new condition.
Fault trace
Now it was T-Con card turn to test it. I installed it, plugged in the TV, mains supply, my TV started working perfectly, there was no problem with the picture.
The reason for corrosion
This TV is installed in an area in Lahore where there is a Dirty drainage is the reason why he had this problem.
corrosion Solution
After much thought, I decided to coating the T-con board.For the coating, I chose rust resistant spray paint, which is used in paints, and is used on walls.
I found this in a spray bottle. I used it to tape the LVDS jack etc. of the T-con card.Then I sprayed where necessary.Then I left it for some time to dry.

Conclusion
Note: It is not necessary that every board will be restored to working condition after washing. It depends on its overall condition. corrosion How deep is the PCB?
