I had a Sony LED TV in the workshop for repair. this set had a problem in the picture. its colors were distorted. there was a lot of greenish photos. its customer said it seemed to run fine for some time I gave the customer a time of two days and booked the set.
Fault Analysis
I opened the set in the workshop lab and started analizing the fault. before now, I tested its LVDS signals. since it is a full HD set, it has ten Pier LVDS signals. it has twenty indicator coils to pass these or coils. these LVDS signals go to the panel’s time control IC.
Fault Tracing
I checked these coils with a multimeter very closely, so I saw the problem in two of these connections. here I got a lot of reading from the multimeter, while the correct resistance was supposed to be close to two ohms, but here the 1k resistance show was the root of the error. I timely shortened these tracks, so my set was working perfectly, its color scheme was completely perfect, later I put these parts on new.
Conclusion
In Sony LED TV, the fault of these coils is usually necessary for the technician to fix the fault by digging it properly. many non-professionals damage the fault because they don’t understand it.
