How to Fix Sony KLV-32R302F 2 Blinks Error | Common fault and repair solution
A Sony LED TV KLV-32R302F came to my workshop for repair. The customer said that the TV turned off while it was running. I switched it on and saw that it was showing the two-blink protection show. Its red light was blinking twice, and after a short break, it did the same thing again. This is a common fault in Sony. This fault occurs in the main board of this model. The reference to the system IC is missing. I told the customer to leave it with me. I will diagnose the fault and tell you how it will be fixed and how much it will cost. After taking your permission, I will fix it. The customer said, OK, keep it and let me fix it.

Physical inspection 2 blink faultÂ
I opened this Sony LED KLV-32R302F in the workshop lab to fix it, and first of all, I started physical inspection. I looked at its main board very carefully and checked the condition of its PCB; it was fine. After that I looked at all the electrolytic capacitors installed in the main board carefully to see if any were swollen. They were all fine. The board was also clean. After that I looked at its resistance very carefully and checked it to see if there was any burn. I did not see anything like that in this board. After that, the next step is voltage testing. We move towards that. Step by step we will check it and move forward.
2-Blink Fault Fix – KLV-32R302F
In this model, we will understand the two-blink fault as two-blink error protection is triggered when the system IC does not get a reference of 2.2 or 2.7 voltage. Now where does this reference come from? This reference voltage is made up of two resistors called voltage divider resistors, one of which is connected to 19 volts and the other resistor is connected to ground. The common point between them is called the reference point. At this reference point, 2.1 to 2.7 volts come, and this reference voltage gives the system IC a signal that the power supply is in good condition. Now here I found this voltage divider resistor and checked it. I found that the resistance of 82 k out of them was bad, which I changed, and my fault was fixed. You can see it in the picture below.

- Sony KLV-32R302F was showing 2 blink error on startup.
- This error is caused when the system IC does not receive a 2.2V to 2.7V reference signal.
- The reference voltage is generated using two voltage divider resistors.
- One resistor is connected to 19V and the second to ground; the midpoint provides the reference.
- On inspection, the 82K resistor in the voltage divider was found to be faulty.
- After replacing the faulty 82K resistor, the reference voltage was restored.
- The 2 blink protection error was cleared and the TV started working perfectly.
ConclusionÂ
So you see, in this case, we repaired the two-link fault of the Sony LED TV KLV-32R302F, and we found its voltage divider, and we changed it; that is, we changed its register, and then this fault was fixed. So the conclusion of this fault is that you must pay attention to the smallest thing. A register is a small thing, but when it changes its value, it disturbs the entire circuit and has its effects. So a good technician should take everything very seriously and check everything, and the instrument he uses for checking, that is, the multimeter, should tell you the value very accurately. Only then will you be able to repair this type of fault, which is called a chip-level fault.
Q1: Why does the two-blink fault occur in Sony models?
A1: This is actually a power supply-related protection that gets activated due to a fault, and due to which we start seeing the two-blinking fault on the TV.
A2: As you saw in this case, the system IC was not getting the reference voltage from the main power supply line, so since the power supply in this model is separate and it is 19 volts in the case of the adapter,
A3: However, the main theory is that the system IC is not getting a reference from the main power supply.Â
A4: If we see a setup that has a separate power supply, meaning that the power board is installed separately inside the set, then the same will be true for it, but the system IC will sense its 12 volts. That is, its reference will come from the 12-volt main line.
