How to fix vertical lines Sony KLV-40EX430
I came to the workshop for repair of this TV. There were lines on the screen from top to bottom. There was no picture on the screen. The display goes black after some time. This fault is showing an error on the screen.
Diagnosing Vertical Lines on Sony TV Screen
I opened the TV for repair and tested the main DC to DC voltage of its screen. All the voltages were coming out perfectly. Thereafter, I checked the voltages of its data processor IC. Its VCC supply is 3.3 volts, very low. When I traced it, I found a defective inductor coil. This inductor was installed on a 3.3-volt line.
Replace the faulty inductor coil.
I replaced the fault indicator coil, whose chassis number was B1, and my fault was fixed. The picture is absolutely correct.
Fault Diagnosis
I have attached a picture to explain the fault, in which the fault area and the faulty part are marked.
Conclusion
In this case, the reason for the vertical lines on the screen was the lack of VCC voltage to the screen’s main processor IC. This IC was not processing the signal. Dear Technician, if you have any questions, write in the comments.
