How to Repair TCL L32S5200 Dead Fault Let’s learn about the dead fault solution of this model. This TCL TV came to me in an off condition. Its standby red light was also off. The customer said that we turned it off remotely at night, so the next day it was completely off. I took two days from the customer to fix it and said that I will diagnose its fault and tell you first. With your permission, we will proceed.
TCL Mainboard Dead Fault Analysis
The next day, I opened the faulty TCL TV in the workshop lab and physically examined its main board. The condition of this board was quite bad. I mean, this board was quite affected by the corrosion effect. However, I had to fix it. So I tested all its power supplies. I found its 3.3V power supply to be fully shorted. Along with the ground, I started tracing this power line. This supply line was also going to the Wi-Fi module. As soon as I removed the jack of this module from its socket, the short circuit on the 3.3V track was over.

When I opened the Wi-Fi module, my main board turned on, but it was obvious that this board was no longer capable of internet connectivity. I removed the protective cover on top of this module, and during physical inspection of this module, I saw the corrosion effect inside it as well. So I first washed it and then started searching for its short circuit. I found a full short circuit on a ceramic capacitor near its socket. I replaced this capacitor, so the circuit resistance here will be normal too.

As I have mentioned in the picture, there was a 3.3V short circuit, and that was in the Wi-Fi module. After replacing the capacitor, I installed this module with the main board and turned on the TV. My set turned on normally. Now the next step was to connect it to the internet and verify whether the Wi-Fi module is working properly or not. I went to the settings and turned on the Wi-Fi, and it started working properly, and my fault was fixed.
